Applications are open for the £100,000 Match-saving match Fund
Apply by 2 March 2026
Applications to the Save Our Grassroots Match Fund are reviewed in two rounds.
The next application round closes on 2 March 2026. Clubs that submit by this date will be considered in the second round of funding decisions.
What Is the Match-saving match Fund
We’ll match the money raised by local clubs, teams and community groups to support small projects that tackle flooding, waterlogging, and damage caused by extreme weather - using natural methods like planting, drainage, and surface improvements.
So if your club or community raises £2,000, we’ll match it with another £2,000 - helping you bring your pitch, park or playing field back to life.
how it works
Tell us about your club, team or community space and why it needs support by filling out our quick Initial Interest Form below.
Our team will get in touch with a simple Application Form if your project looks like a good fit.
Next review round: Applications submitted by 2 March 2026
01
APPLY
Once approved, your club or group will raise half the money needed for your project - through a match, fun run, local event, or community campaign. We’ll send you a DIY Fundraising Toolkit packed with ideas, templates and resources to help you make it happen.
02
FUNDRAISE
When your fundraising is complete, Save Our Grassroots will match your funds from our £100,000 pot.
We’ll then connect your club or group with environmental experts to help design and deliver the right nature-based solution for your pitch.
