Grassroots sport is for everyone.

Grassroots pitches are places where people from different backgrounds can come together around something they share.

Whether because of gender, sexuality, background, ability, age or simply feeling like they don't fit in, barriers can stop people from taking that first step onto a pitch.

Protecting grassroots spaces matters.

BUT…

Every year, 100,000 games are cancelled every year in football alone due to poor pitch conditions, and by 2050, 1 in 4 pitches could be underwater.

Every cancelled game is a missed opportunity for connection, exercise, routine and the countless mental health benefits that grassroots sport provides.

So, we’re doing something about it.

“It'll make me feel a lot happier because I can socialise, I can train more and get to where I want to go in the future."

Emilia, Old Northamptonians (See Case Study)

We helped this 100-year-old club raise £20,000 to make their pitches playable again and reunite multiple sporting communities.

EVERY PLAYER NEEDS SOMEWHERE TO START.

The women featured in our campaign - from Olympic and Paralympic champions to grassroots players - all tell different versions of the same story: the friendships they made, the confidence they found and the simple love of playing that began at grassroots.

Before the achievements came the opportunity.

Before the medals came the memories.

We need to make sure the next generation has the same chance to fall in love with sport.

LET’S DO SOME COOL STUFF TOGETHER

We're looking to work with organisations supporting cultural integration, racial and ethnic diversity, refugees and migrants, LGBTQ+ communities, disabled people and other underrepresented groups to explore how grassroots sport can help create stronger, more connected communities.

Whether that's through storytelling, community programmes, research, events or future campaigns, we want to work with partners who share our belief that everyone deserves a place to play, belong and feel part of something.

If your organisation is working to build more inclusive, connected communities, and recognise the powerful role grassroots sport plays in cultural integration - we'd love to hear from you.
